Location: Mumbai.

After all the security checking and all formalities done I was waiting for 1hr 15 minutes in waiting hall, till my token number was called and was directed towards window number 12.

I reminded myself that now is the time to make the most, of the next 3-5 minutes...

I knocked the door of the officer with smile on my face…do thas

ME: Good morning Sir, How are you doing today??

VO: (No Reaction) Good Morning Gentleman... Am doing good… How bout u??

ME: Am doing great sir Thank You

VO: So you are working in WIPRO...

ME: Yes sir.

VO: And u r working as a..??

ME: Sir I am working as a Tech support associate

VO: For how long??

ME: Its only third month now

VO: only three months..??

ME: Yes sir

VO: And you r planning to go to further studies??

ME: Yes sir; however I have already informed my company regarding my plans.

VO: Oh alright...So..... Which university is u going for??

ME: Am going to University of Texas at El Paso. (With good eye contact)

VO: How did u come to know about this university??

(I wasn’t prepared for this Question but i managed by saying)

ME: I have my friend in the same university who is my senior... doing Mechanical

VO: Oh you have your friend...

ME: Yes sir his name is Siddharth Nayak and he has recommended this university to me.

VO: Tell me about your parents..???

ME: Sir i stay with my mother and my dad passed away when I was only 12.

VO: Then who is sponsoring your studies??

ME: It’s my sister and bro-in-law that are sponsoring my studies and they are doing so

Since my dad’s death...

VO: what business does your bro-in-law have??

ME: (Said the prepared answer)

VO: Do u have any supporting documents.

ME: yes sir I do have... (And I gave only the bank statement to him, whom he took but jus had a glance on it that’s it)

And after this he was typing something for 1-2 minutes into his computer

And after this....

VO: OK Gentleman.... Take your passport thru courier….

I didn’t understand what he said but as he kept my passport with him. At this point I realized that I got my visa....

ME: Thanks a lot sir... you have a great day,

And left the window.....
