My interview was very cool and not worth even a pound of panic. It seemed as if the VO had well in advance decided to grant me a VISA. My interview went something like this:

My slot was at 10:15. I was allowed in at 9.45 after the initial check for passport and web appointment letter. I was directed to a counter where they ask for

the I20,
PC,
Degree Certificate,
DS forms,
HDFC receipt ( I mean, the blue form...the pink one is to be retained by the applicant and to be produced at the time of delivery of passport)
Sevis fee receipt.
GRE and TOEFL Score cards

These would be kept in a VFS folder. In addition it is advisable to carry all the other documents in a Harmonium folder. Knowing the contents of the folder would help and do set it properly.

At the same counter, finger prints will be taken. If you get excessive-sweaty, do wipe your hands against a kerchief or a tissue.

From here you will be made to go to the VISA lobby.

After a long wait of 45 minutes, I got my turn. There were a fair number of rejects before me.

VO: Hi

ME: Good Morning Mam. How was your day?

VO: Oh! Well it’s going fine.

ME: Ok

VO: So, do you have any backlogs?

ME: No, never

VO: "No, never"...that’s pretty impressive

VO: Have you been waiting since long?

ME: No

VO: How many universities did you apply to?

ME: I gave her 6 universities details...I forgot the last one

VO: why did you select this out of all?

ME: same ans as I sent in the mail.

the VO than took my left thumb's finger print as she wasn’t satisfied with the earlier version of it.

Then she uttered the golden words. UR VISA is issued.

Be confident. U will get it for sure
