My Experience abt Visa Interview(9:15 am) 13 July at Mumbai

Consulate

7.30 am standing in queue in front of VFS office.

8.30 am took me inside

8.45 am pressure was higly increased went in VFS toilet and was

totally relaxed....

9:00 am Had a nice Sandwich offered by VFS and was watching and

enjoying the movie.....

10:00 am sat in the VFS bus.

10:15 am entered US Consulate (Got down from VFS bus)

Was told to remove belt and everthing from pocket was told to put in

tray..

Later on after passing through metal detector was given back...

Gave me pink token, number was 604.

Just sitting and yawning...looking at babes over there ...

11:20 am

I heard a call from window number 17. Three people were standing in

front of me and 2 were behind me.

1st one was given visa next 2 were rejected. Then came my turn...

ME : GUD MORNING SIR

VO : GIVE ME UR TOKEN

searching for my number at his desk....

VO : I DIDNT CALL U SIR

ME : SORRY SIR.

VO : ITS OK

came and again took a seat ..waiting for the number to call

Was bit tense whether I missed my number when I went inside....

11:55 am

call from window number 13 (Was worried as 13 July and 13th counter

as 13 is considered to be jinx(unlucky number) and also was close to

No Moon Day

VO was fair and was approx of age 40

2 girls and then 1 guy...I was 4 th.

1st lady got the visa, 2nd lady reject(was virtually crying felt

very bad) , 3rd fellow got the visa....now my turn....

ME: GUD MORNING SIR

VO: GUD MORNING SIR

VO: GIVE ME UR TOKEN PLS

ME: SURE SIR (gave token number 604)

For few minutes he was arrainging the things which were messed up on

the table.

VO: IS THIS UR PHOTO (form I20 nd photo)

ME: YES SIR ( standing straight looking directly into his eyes with

a nice blue shirt with strips and a navy blue pant...)

VO: WHY US?

ME:To pursue my Master in Information Technology from Central

Missouri State University.

VO: Why this university?

ME: Central Missouri State University offers gud course content and

concentration apart from it offers gud research oppurtunities.

VO: How many rejects and admits?

ME: 2 admits , 2 rejects (actually 2 admits, 6 rejects)

VO: Which r they?

ME: UNCC, SanJose reject and SUNY Binghamton and CMSU admit.

VO: SUNY Binghamton is pretty gud college why arent u going over

there?

ME: Sir CMSU offers gud research oppurtunities in my field of

interest.

Then came the real bouncer*****

VO: Hey it seem ur undergraduate background is different??(He was

visibly tense)

ME: I completed my bachelors degree in Mechanical engg, but during

my undergraduate program I had came accross several software courses

like AutoCad, Catia , ProEngg, gradually my intrest in software

field started growing up and after my Bachelors course I was also

undergoing few software courses like C, C++, Then I made up my mind

to pursue my dreams, passion to do MS in IT .

Then he became bit cool.....(Felt that atleast was able 2 save

myself from being out...)

VO: Who r ur sponsors?

ME: My Father was working for past 27 yrs as an Bank Officer.

Mother is working as an insurance consultant for past 20 yrs.

Sister is a Doctor who teaches at a medical college.

Brother is MA in Sociology takes coaching for HSC.

VO: What r U going to do after MS?

ME: I will be doin MS in Information Technology with specialization

in Web Programming(he interupted me)

VO: No No I am asking u what after MS?

ME: Web Programming is in great boom these days in India(again

interupted me)

VO: If I grant U a visa what will U do after MS?

ME: I will like 2 work in global IT top MNCs like microsoft ,

google, yahoo.

VO: But what abt ur long term plans?

ME: To start an enterprise over here in India....

THen came the golden words.....

I am granting U a visa have a nice trip to US and enjoy........

Came out of consulate had a warm hug with my bro.....
