Thanx to all those who hav posted their experiences. n also those who answered queries of others.

m going to illinois state university, normal.

 My visa experience for real fun. i'll suggest every1 to :

1.            stay kool n with a smile.

2.            be attentive.

3.            dnt talk wit others while u r inside the counslate.

4.            try to talk as comfortably wit the VO as u can.

Now starts my experience.

i went to mumbai counslate. my interview time was 7.45 am.

i reached there by 7, a lady came n called all the girls at 7.15 , so i got to go inside. after initial security tests i was made to stand in the finger print scanning line. i finished it n was made to sit wit my coupon no. by 7.30.

while we were waiting the visa interviews for the immigration people were going on. then at 8.30 my coupon no. along with aother 7 people was callled. v all 8 people stood outside counter 13.

people, the whole atmosphere is very silent n also stressing, just stay calm n everything wud be fine. keep on chanting ur religious mantra, it really gives lot of +ive energy and calmness.

here comes my interview.

ME  : gud morning sir.

VO : gud morning mam.

VO: Why u wanna got for a masters programme.

ME : (gave a learned answer.)

VO : how many admits n from where?

ME : told 3

VO : asked abt siblings.

ME : i said my elder sis is studying in cal state univ, northridge. i hav a call 4m there also then he asked y m not going there. i said coz my prference is course curriculum n ISU is offering a better program.

VO : asked abt my other siblings.

ME : told

VO : (very impressed) he said... all u siblings are studying well.

ME : thank u sir.

VO: tell abt ur parents

ME : told.

VO : y this univ?

ME : told a learned answer.

VO : ok mam im granting u visa.

ME : (smiling))thank u sir.

VO : r u veg?

ME : yes sir.

VO : wen u got to illinois, do go to chicago. n taste the pizzas there. even the veg pizzas are very yummy.

ME : (smiling) sure sir i will.

VO : (winking) they hav a little bit of egg in them, m sure u r ok wit tat?

ME : yeah sir, tats not a problem.

VO : n ya, ur sis is in california. do go there too its a very gud place.

ME : yeah sir im definitely gonna visit california. thank u sir, hav a nice day.

VO: same to u too young lady.
