My Visa appointment was on November 21 at 7.30 AM

Everything went cool till 7 in the morning. I was in the line by 7 along with my friend who also had his interview on the same day. We were allowed inside by 7.15 and we went through the security check and we split at DS form submission counter.

After the submission of DS forms at the counter, we were given the same forms after verification but now in the green folder.

After that, we were guided to the finger printing lobby where after the Visa interview took place.

My Visa interview was a cool one but rather a nail-biting one.

After the finger printing process, I waited for some time in the long queue and after sometime I was asked to join a line of 4 whom a lady Visa Officer (VO) was interviewing. The 4 applicants before me were rejected VISA. Now came my turn.

Me: Hi good morning madam. How are you?

VO: Good morning. I am fine. How about you?

Me: I am fine thank you.

VO: How many backlogs?

Me: No backlogs madam.

VO: What’s your % in B Tech?

Me: First class with 66.2%

VO: What’s your program?

Me: I am planning for my Masters in Electrical engineering at Northern Illinois University

VO: What’s your father?

Me: He is working as “blah blah blah …….”

VO: What’s his annual income?

Me: His income is ****** lakhs.

VO: How many siblings do you have?

Me: 1 younger brother

VO: What is he doing?

Me: He is in his +2

VO: Do you have your bank statement?

ME: Yes I do have them madam (I didn’t show her my statement. She expected me to show her the bank statement)

VO: Can I see them? (With a huge smile on her face)

ME: Ya sure ma’m

VO saw my bank statement and I cleared the doubts which she had in the transactions.

VO: Are you tensed?

Me: No madam (But in reality I was a bit tensed as she rejected 4 Visa’s in front of me)

Then came the GOLDEN words---“Your Visa is issued”

Me: Thank you ma’m. Have a nice day.

Didn’t display any of my joy in front of her. But I was on cloud 9……

The only suggestion to the Visa aspirants is that be confident and bold before the VO whatever the situation is. And, try avoiding faking because the VO’s are masters in making out the psychology of a person.

On this behalf, I would like to dedicate my success to Mr. Naveen, Mr. Vijay and Mr. Aravind for all the support they gave me and without whose guidance I could not have got my Visa. Thank you all.
