After all these months of hardwork and preparation finally i was granted visa at the delhi consulate on 5th dec 2007.
My appointment was for 10:30 am but by the time i gave my interview it was 11:15 am.
Just before my turn an elderly uncle was rejected visa and was unwilling to leave the counter. Well, finally wen he left i proceeded to the counter. The VO was a young genlemen who was very sweet. This is it how it started:

VO: :) Hello How was ur day till now?
ME: :) It was fine How abt urs?
VO: So why are u going to the US?
ME: ....my answer
VO: Which field?
ME: ....my answer
VO: whats ur major?
ME: ....my answer
VO: Have u been granted funding?
ME: ....my answer
VO: what do u intend to do after u get ur degree?
ME: ....my answer
VO: Who wil be funding u ?
ME: ....my answer
VO: what does ur father do ?
ME: ....my answer
VO: what does ur mother do?
ME: ....my answer
VO: what is ur fathers income ?
ME: ....my answer
VO: what is ur mothers income?
ME: ....my answer
VO: wat is name of the degree that u hold right now?
ME: BE
VO: what been doing since completion of ur engineering?
ME: ....my answer
VO: Can i hav a look at ur financial statements?
ME: sure
VO: u hav been granted the visa...hav a gr8 day! :)
ME: thank u sir. Have a nice day :)

thats all.
the VO was very sweet.
for ppl who are about to giv there interview in the future just one suggestion... be cool...talk to ppl around u and relax...make sure ur docs are correct and genuine and keep smiling and basically be cool and think positive.
