This was
my visa experience at US embassy CHENNAI..
dec 13th 11am. univ: FDU. BE(EEE): 66.75%. gre: 950. toefl: 81.
backlogs:2.
was waiting in the q for my turn. uncle sam was the interviewer (fat
guy).. three students were rejected visa in front of me..
I was confident/relaxed. i went to him
me: Hi sir, how r u doin?
unc: Good morning..
me: (uncle,i asked hw r u.anyways i dint wait for him, just gave my
folder to him) he had a check on everythig and started typing in his
comp.
unc: wats ur percentage?
me: 67% aggregate frm 1 to 8 semesters sir.
unc: can i have a look at ur marks cards and test score reports?
me: sure sir. (gave him)
unc: how many backlogs?
me: 2 sir
unc: how many univ did u apply for?
me: 4
unc: how many admits r u awaiting for?
me : 2
unc: which r those univ ?
me : said.
unc: which admit did u get other than FDU ?
me : I'm afraid, cud u pls repeat that for me..
unc: which is the other admit?
me : said
unc: ur parents r goin to sponsor for ur education rite?
me: yes sir, my family
unc: wats ur dad doin?
me: said
unc: wats his annual income?
me: 96,000
unc:(shocked) wat? its less than a lakh, how can u manage with it?
me: sir i have fd's of ***** lacs.
unc: how did u get so much money ?
me: sir my uncle is also sponsoring me. he has fd of **** lacs and
my dads vrs amt of **** lacs. shal i show u the documents sir?
unc: oh no,i dont want to see any documents. just ans me thats
enuf..
unc: wats ur dads work?
me: said
unc: wats ur uncle doing?
me: he is doin business
unc: wat business?
me: said
unc: wats ur mom?
me: home maker
he startd typing something in his comp..
i just dint kept quite..
me: sir i'm the only son.i've also got the scholarship of US $****
from the university..
unc: ya i saw that.i'm very impressed by that. i'm impressed by
that..
me: responded by smiling.
he startd typing again..
unc: sir, ur visa is granted. u wil recieve it in a weeks time..
me: thank u (uncle!!!!!) thank u very much.. have a great day
ahead.. bye bye !!!!!!!!
ran away frm that place !!!!! he told me twice that he dont want to
see any documents.. guys they dont have time to check anything..
just be confident and speak clearly.. all the best to all of u..
